Service Terms and Agreement
By utilizing services provided by The Diaper Society, you agree to adhere to the terms outlined in this document, encompassing the rental agreement and guidelines for diaper care. These terms are effective as of January 1, 2024.
Full Service and Rental
As part of your monthly diaper service subscription, you are entitled to the rental of cloth diapers, two rotating large wet bags, one travel wet bag, 5 diaper covers, one large diaper pail, and cloth wipes, all property of The Diaper Society and provided on a rental/leased basis. There is a nonrefundable one time startup fee of $50 due at time of signup for full service and rental options and a nonrefundable $20 startup fee for wash your stash service. Products are to be exclusively used for diapering purposes. Failure to return or damaged items will incur charges specified as follows: $23 for diaper pail, $7 for large wet bag, $7 for travel wet bag, $24 for bidet sprayer, $15 for sprayer shield, $2 per prefold diaper, $3 per insert, $6 per fitted diaper, $8 per diaper cover, and $0.50 per cloth wipe. Snappis do have a tendency to wear with continued use and will not be subjected to replacement fees.
Wash Your Supply Service
As part of your Wash Your Supply service subscription, you are entitled to pickup of soiled diapers and drop off of clean diapers as supplied by you, the customer. Each customer must therefore have two weeks worth supply of diapers on hand (one week to be sent for laundering and another week to be utilized at home). There is a nonrefundable one time startup fee of $20 due at time of signup for wash your supply services. Products are to be exclusively used for diapering purposes. Failure to return or damaged items will incur charges specified as follows: $23 for diaper pail and $7 for large wet bag.
Diaper Care & Managing Solids
The customer is responsible for washing the diaper covers and travel wet bag only. Diaper covers should be washed on a warm normal cycle and then a delicates dry cycle or, alternatively, can be air dried. We recommend using a dye and fragrance free detergent.
Solids:
(0-6 months): No rinsing needed
(6+ months): Drop solids into the toilet, anything else can go in the pail. Alternatively, you can utilize a bidet style sprayer to spray solids into the toilet.
A diaper sprayer cuts down on stains as well as odor. If you would like to utilize one, we can provide them for your use. When solids sit on diapers, they are more likely to stain. We avoid harsh chemicals when laundering diapers so the cleaner they are when picked up the cleaner they’ll be at drop off!
Diaper Rash Cream:
Use cloth-compatible creams. Avoid creams containing petroleum, paraffin, fish oil, or cod oil that can create barriers and reduce the fabrics absorption ability. Avoid creams with zinc oxide as this can stain cloth diapers. Find a list of cloth compatible creams here.
Deliveries/Pickup
Place your large wet bag, filled with soiled diapers in your designated pickup location by 12:00pm (SUNDAYS) or 5:30pm (TUESDAYS). In the event of inclement weather, please keep diapers indoors and we will provide an in person exchange.
A reminder will be sent via text and email the day prior to pickup.
First Month of Service and Billing
Sign up requires nonrefundable $50 (full service, rental only) or $20 (wash your stash) startup fee. You then enter a “trial period” until services begin. Diapers are delivered 2 weeks before your due date, with service activation and billing starting on the first pickup date. Billing cycles are prorated based on activation date and billed on a monthly basis. The first 4 weeks are non-refundable; transferable or pausable.
Forgot to Leave Out Diapers?
We understand life is crazy with young ones! Contact us via customer portal to schedule a new pickup. The first missed pickup will be a courtesy; subsequent missed pickups will incur a $10 charge.
Extra Items in Laundry
Every so often covers or miscellaneous clothing items sneak their way into the wash. These items will be laundered along with the diapers. The Diaper Society isn’t liable for lost or damaged articles.
Skipping Service
If you need to take a break from cloth diapering for vacation, illness, etc. you can skip services in your customer portal. Skipping services means no pickup or delivery. If you need to pause services for an extended period of time, please contact us.
When skipping services, you can:
1) Use disposable diapers
2) Wash the cloth diapers yourself
On skipped weeks, your rate will be reduced to the rental cost of the diapers.
If opting to wash yourself, please be mindful that dirty diapers need to be washed at least every 7 days due to staining and risk of mold development. Please plan accordingly and contact us in the event of complications. Damaged items will be subject to replacement fees as detailed above.

Cancellation
The first four weeks of service are nonrefundable. We request a one week notice for cancellation. Service changes can be managed in your customer portal or by contacting us at hello@thediapersociety.com. Billing for the month of cancellation will be prorated minus a $10 processing fee.
